Manager |
|
The following screen shots will give you
a brief overview if the Microlinx Bookmark Management
System. Please refer to the
User
Guide for more information. |
Toolbar:
The
Microlinx Toolbar is the heart of the bookmarking
system. It is used in place of the Add to Favorites
button in your browser. Without the toolbar the
system will not work. |
|
 |
Once you install the free toolbar, and
you open a free personalized account, you can surf
to any website, then just click the
Bookmark Page button... your custom start page (shown
below) will open,
then use point and click to select a tab and location.
That's it, your link is saved! |
|
Link Panels:
Your home page can consist of up to 256 configurable
page tabs. Grabbing the top of any panel allows you to
drag it to a different position on the page. Dragging a
page on top of a page tab will move the entire panel to
that page (provided at least one blank panel exists on
the target page). Individual links can also be moved to
different page tabs by dragging and dropping them onto a
target page, then the target page will open , allowing
the link to be dragged and dropped to any link location. |

Editing Link Panels and Link Settings: |
|
Clicking the "Edit" link in the upper
right of any link panel opens the link editor and widget
selection panel. Clicking on any link in this mode will
open the individual link setting panel which allows you
to change the Icon, Displayed Title (shortname),
the URL, the Text and Background Color for each link and
the long description which is displayed in the mouse
over along with the links thumbnail shot. |

Links &
Widgets:
From the edit panel, you can also change the
Link Panel to a Widget (all current link
data will be deleted, so be sure to do this
on a blank link panel). Widgets are
pre-programmed code to provide useful
information such as Weather, Stock Charts,
Word of The Day or RSS feed data.
This area of Microlinx is
currently being developed to include the
implementation of Google Gadgets and a
unique popular links scrolling panel which
will display all public links in our system.
This allows you to see links that other
users have deemed as "public".
To protect the privacy of
your links, a "private" links setting is
also provided.
New widgets are always
being developed and if you are an author of
a unique widget, please feel free to
tell us about it for inclusion in the
Microlinx
bookmarking system. |
